The reality of Ziyarat is “to deflect from other than whom we intend”. If we intend Imam Al Husayn (a.s.) then we must realise that he is an epitome of Islam. The more we revive Islamic values individually and socially the closer we come to Imam Al-Husayn (as). The imam sacrificed everything for the sake of submission to the Only Beloved. If we really want to show our devotion and love for him then our actions should reflect submission to the only beloved.
